When will I get my energy back?

Man, I am just EXHAUSTED!!!!! How did I ever get so busy??? Oh ya, that's right, I just had to marry a man that I love and is absolutely gorgeous and couldn't keep my hands off him so we had lot's of kids....and I home-school 6 out of 8 of them. BUT.....I wouldn't have it any other way, okay okay, so I'm not going to lie, there are a few things I would change BUT my family size and homeschooling are DEFINITELY not one of them!!!

So I found out that my thyroid levels are off, so I am not getting enough thyroid hormones and I am just moving so much slower, can't multi-task like I used to, scattered, emotional, depressed, takes me longer to spit my words out or think of the word I am trying to say....it's so frustrating.  All I want to do is be my normal, spunky, energetic self. I want to start working out so bad, but I should probably wait a couple weeks 'til my medicine kicks in. They upped me from 100mcg to 125 mcg. I hope I start feeling the effects soon because we have no clean clothes to wear....LOL

Jesse James first step at 7 months old

Wow, can you believe, Jesse James took his first step today? He is only 7 months old, and he has been standing for a few seconds on his own for a while now. He seems to have no fear. He stands there and then just leans forward and expects someone to catch him. Well, this time he actually took a step, then Ashlyn was there to catch him expecting him to fall. Maybe he would have taken 2 steps if she hadn't been there. It's just so crazy that he is so advanced. Ashlyn walked early, she walked very well at 9 mo old and was running at 10 months, I think Shayla did too. I thought that was early. I just love watching my children grow, it's one of my greatest joys!

Words that capture my heart!

I said a lil' bedtime prayer with my seven year old daughter, Ashlyn. When I was done Ashlyn says, "Mom, I'm going to say a little prayer in my head." HALLELUJAH!!!!!! All that work has paid off! My oldest daughter is starting to pray in her head. Now I believe that's where the personal relationship with Jesus starts, yay, how exciting!!!

Cute things my kids say

Okay, so I have always been very open about the correct terms for our girl and boy parts. Today my 3 year old, Kiara, was climbing on all the couch cushions that were stacked up. She says to me, "Mom, I climbed on the tallest mountain, look, I'm bouncing on the tallest mountain with my vagina." Now you must remember, Kiara talks slow and clear so she really stressed these words. It's a good thing she said this at home and not in public! :-)

Cute things my kids say

My 3 year old, Kiara, slept in our bed last night. My other three girls came in there to wake us. Kiara woke from a dead sleep, climbed down on the floor and said in a sweet, high pitch voice, "Eye, eye captain, can you hear me?"  and then she went on to say, "Gooey guizer."Ya think she's been watching too much Dora Explorer and Sponge Bob Square Pants?

Cute things my kids say

The other day we were driving in the car, I had all the kids with me. Kiara, my 3 yr old, says in a looooong, high pitch, whiny voice, "What's happening mom, What's happening?" I start laughing and look back and her carseat is tipped half way over. Too cute!

Cute things my kids say

My 3 yr old, Kiara, comes in from playing in the back yard and says, "Kevin saveded me mom, Kevin saveded me." I say, "oh, where did he save you from" Kiara says, "From the tallest mountain." That is a term from Dora the Explorer. They were just outside playing on the wooden swing set. How cute is that.

Cute things my kids say

My 7 year old daughter, Ashlyn, is reading a book to me about cats. She looks at a picture and says, "Look mom, that's the kind of cat I want when we get a pig or a black hog." We live in the suburbs, we have no land. Although we have always wanted land and farm animals. It's good that she shares the same dreams!

cute things my kids say

My barely 3 yr old Kiara came in from outside and said "that gentalman took his green car." what big talk for such a little one.

Cute things my kids say

Today Shayla, my 6 yr old, said to me, "Mommy, my brain is cold." I have no idea how your brain can be cold, it wasn't even cold out, she was in the passenger seat of the car. Too funny! I just love the witty things kids say!

SWEETS???

I give up on not eating sweets. It only lasted 2 days and I lost 2 pounds. I will just not eating a humongous bowl of ice cream right before I go to bed, like I was like every night! That will be a good start.

Hard day!

Today was such a hard day! I got an excellant night sleep and it was still hard. I've been mopy and lazy all day :-(. I hope I can sleep on it and it will be all better in the morning. That's how it usually is anyhow. If I feel better tomorrow, I will blog more about my day yesterday.

Day number 4 with out sweets NOT

Okay so still better than before, but not sweet free today. This morning I still weight 153. I had a soda pop, and my friend forced me to eat her heavenly TO DIE FOR home-made Rasberry/white chocolate cheese cake. But I didn't devour it so it was heavenly, but not so much to where it made feel half way ill. Still no before picks. Hmmm, maybe in a couple days.

Cute things my kids say

On the way home from my friends house today my 7 year old daughter, Ashlyn, told me that she likes the song, Fireworks by Katie Perry. She proceeded to tell me that it's not good for them (Ashlyn and her sisters) to watch that music video though, it's a bad video.

I thought about it for a second and remembered that I have seen that video before and thought it was a very nice, loving video and I am thinking man, what did I miss that she didn't.

She said it's a very bad video because there's like fireworks EVERYWHERE in the video and they put fire works on the moms tummy to maker her have her baby. And that's a bad thing to do.

It was so funny that she perceived it that way! I had to explain to her that life is so wonderful and exciting and have a baby is wonderful and exciting and it's like fireworks, wonderful and exciting. It was so funny that she took the fireworks in the video so literal. But I guess she is only 7.

Cute things my kids say

My dad died on Fathers Day 2009. A couple months after he died my sister, Lorisa, was at my house and we were talking about him. My sister was sitting on the coach and was kind of staring off in a daze. My spunky 3 year old Mika came up and asked my sister, "What's wrong, are you sad?" Lorisa says, "Ya, I miss my daddy, he's not here anymore, he died." Mika rubs her arm and says,"Ah, it's okay we'll get you a new daddy."

Cute things my kids say

Every time one of my kids say or do something cute I will post it, some of them might be things that I remember in the past, but it's a nice way for me to journal them. If you have something you would like to share, I would love to hear about it!

Weight loss after baby number 8

I just had my 8th baby on February 2nd this year. I usually start dropping weight pretty fast then get stuck on the last 5 pounds. But this time, a ton of people brought dinners for my family so we wouldn't have to cook. It was wonderful and I am so grateful...., but they all brought desert too, which means I pretty much devoured half of it each night lol.

When I got pregnant this last time I started at 10 pounds over weight, so I was already bigger than usual. Ya, 10 pounds may not seem much but for me being only 5' 3", it brought me from a nice 7 to 10. So this last pregnancy I wasn't the cute tiny little thing like I usually am during my pregnancies. I gained a little over 25 pounds, not bad, but I ended up at 170 pounds, the biggest I have ever been.

So today was supposed to be day number 3 with out sweets, but I ended up having some wonderful gourmet chocolate and and ice cold Pepsi which was quite refreshing! The day I started I weighed 155, day number 2 155, and this morning 152 and I haven't been below 154 since I had the baby so I am excited. We will see what the scale says in the morning. I will record my weight each day and might put up a picture tomorrow. And if they baby is going to start letting me sleep at night, I might just start exercising to an on demand exercise program. Do any of you have any suggestions?

Good night world!
