Yesterday 3 yr old lil Dustin is pretending to read a bandaid wrapper. He reads: Happy birthday God. :-)

Today my 3 yr old, lil Dustin, was pretending to read a business card and he reads: blah blah blah God, Blah blah blah thank you God for giving me my candy back.

A couple of months back we were all hanging out in the back yard. My 6 year old daughter, Mika, and maybe the boys were playing behind the bushes. We heard all these screams coming from Mika. I heard Mika just screaming this high pitch scream. One scream after another really really loud and crazy screaming. Now Mika is a crazy, witty, fun little girl. We thought she was just playing as usual. so I sat there for a while listening to her screaming thinking nothing of it. Dustin, Ashlyn and Shayla we're sitting there thinking the same thing. We started to get really annoyed, like, Mika my goodness settle down and stop playing so crazy. Then Ashlyn walks over to tell her to quiet down. After a few steps in Mikas direction Ashlyn's annoyed face turned to a concerned and worried face. Mika was screaming out of pain, not fun! She stepped on a rusty nail. It had gone pretty far into her foot. She was freaking out so bad with this nail hanging out of her foot. It was very emotional for everybody especially Shayla! All of the kids gathered around as we took the nail out of her foot. After it was all over Shayla looked very sad and tired. I asked if she was okay, then she started just weeping for her sisters pain. I just thought it was the sweetest thing ever for Shayla to cry for her sister! She ended up going to bed just after it was all over around 7:00 that night. Sweet lil thing she is!

Cute things my kids say

Dustin had the girls cleaning the basement and Mika was doing one half of the basement and the their cousin, Jasmine, Ashlyn and Shayla were cleaning the other half. So I told the girls that Mika's area was too big for her alone and as she does a carwheel she says in a super spunky and voice, "It's okay mom, I like cleaning, you just gotta have fun while you are doing it!"

Jesse often says in a southern accent, "Ahhhh maaaan" Dust says it too, but lil Jesse will say it over and over.....tooooo cute.
Isaiah was born Thursday evening on May 30th 2013 at 6:19 p.m. weighed 8Ibs 3oz and was 21 3/4 inches long. He is so perfect, he has big broad hands and long feet with long toes like fingers. He is going to have daddy's build, and he has my nose and mouth, with daddy's ears, but smaller :-), and not sure about the eyes yet. He has daddy's defined temples. He looks alot like Markes and lil Dustin did when they were born.

He has been sleeping from 11:00 or 12:00 midnight til 7:00 in the morn. It's so wonderful for him to sleep all night. What a nice treat. Usually the rest of the kids sleep all night too, but about half the time since Isaiah has been born, Jesse has been waking up throwing fits. The past two nights he has slept all night so I hope he is finally adjusting.  Isaiah, is such a precious lil baby and I am so blessed and grateful to get to be his mommy. I thank God for entrusting me with him and each and every one of my 9 children. It's such an honor to be mommy to all of my children.
Today my baby is 9 days old and since he has been born, let me tell ya....IT'S BEEN TOUGH!!!!! My 2 year old has been having a HARD time adjusting! A couple days after I had the baby my husband was sick in bed for 4 days and yesterday was his first day up. With that being said, the 2 and 3 year old haven't been supervised as well as they usually are and OH BOY, are they taking ADVANTAGE!!!!! Most of it is instigated by 2 yr old lil Jesse and 3 yr old Dustin joins in. Jesse has been throwing eggs down the laundry shoot and yesterday I found out that the washer lid was opened so all the eggs cracked inside the washer. He dumped a half big bottle of liquid laundry soap inside the dryer. He pooped in the garden, peed on the baby's new bouncy, while lil Dustin peed on an empty garbage bag the was next to the bouncy. They have been throwing and breaking glass on the back patio, eating and throwing outside in the water my organic Daves killer sprouted wheat bread. Dumped out outside with glass, my organic raisins, clogging up the toilet with...well who knows what, squirted two new things of tooth past in the sink and toilet (now we are out). Jesse dumped out my $10. bottle of golden seal, my bottle of citricital soap, dumped the epson salt .....and the list goes on. Did I mention we are on a tight budget? I think it would have been cheaper and more pleasant to hire help! We have tried spankings and THEY JUST DON'T WORK for Jesse James, and not really for Dustin. Time out works better for Dustin and we really haven't found anything that works for Jesse.

Jesse is having a VERY hard time adjusting to the new baby! He usually sleeps through the night but since the baby has been born, baby sleeps through the night but Jesse wakes up screaming some night around midnight. He throws such a bad fit that he's kinda foaming at the mouth and girgling and gnarling and throwing his head back. Dustin can half way console him just for a minute but when he is throwing these fits, he will have nothing to do with me. He loves me during the day, but not when he wakes up throwing a fit. I have been trying really hard not to be to condescending when I catch him getting into things. I have been trying really hard to praise him for things and talk to him extra gently lately as he is feeling like the baby came and took his place, and well, I guess he did. His fits have lessened and I just pray that lil Jesse James gets over this soon and starts to adjust well to his new lil brother.

I haven't written since summer 2011. I wish I would have continued writing as my kids say some of the cutest things and I know I can't remember them all! Today as I write, I have lying next to me my 9 day old little Isaiah. This make number 9 for us. I had my first home and water birth. It was such an amazing experience, but man it was painful and in the middle of it I wished I were at the hospital where I can change my mind at the last minute ask for medication or epidural. But....I am glad I was at home! My husband, Dustin, was in the pool with me and he delivered Isaiah with our midwife, Sherri Dress, couching him out side the pool. It was so special and spiritual. It really is amazing how our whole mind and body can spiritually shift when a precious new life enters into our family! Before he was born I was feeling distant from God, with a very hard heart (due to our extremely hard past year and all that happened in Alaska). My heart was hard and I was definitely questioning God himself. That scared me, I know Gods real, but my heart was so hard and I didn't feel God. I felt like my family was entirely abandoned by God. He has his reasons for everything, I will never understand them and I should never question them. Well, when we gave birth to Isaiah, there was no more questioning God. We felt the holy spirit through and through! The presence of the holy spirit was so strong you could cut it with a knife. It was one of those awwww moments that I remember in slow motion. Everyone's voice sounded like slow whispers. People around were blurs and my baby was the most beautiful site ever! We were so high just off life and the holy spirit. It was well worth all the pain I had to endure and It was just as amazing or more than everyone told me it would be.

Ashlyn, Shayla, Mika, Kiara, lil Dustin, and Jesse James all got to be there when we gave birth to little Isaiah. Three year old little Dustin was so excited about the new baby coming the last couple of months of the pregnancy. When we were giving birth, it was so fun to watch him and the rest of the kids watch in amazement with there glowing faces and their smiles from ear to ear. Little Dustin asks in his super exciting, high pitch voice,"Is that my baby?" and I say, "Yes, that's your baby brother", he says in an even higher voice, "YEA?" That lil Dustin is just so joyous and excited about, well, really about everything in life. Even small things and I am grateful to be blessed to have him as my son! When I gave birth to Isaiah and he was still under water Ashlyn picked up Jesse James to see the new baby and he frowned a little like he was worried. Ashlyn, and Shayla did very well with the birth experience. Kiara we though might be a little mortified but she was joyously happy to be there and to get to be part of it. She go to get the blanky for the baby after we brought him out of the water and handed it to the midwife. That made her feel very special! Mika, I think she did well, but she must have been pretty worried about me while I was in pain because I think Mika went and crawled in her bed at 7:00, just 45 minutes after I gave birth.

I am so glad I wasn't in the hospital! Did you know that the water is not suppose to be broken? When it is, it's like a punch in the face for the baby! The baby is suppose to be born in the sac then the water breaks as baby's head comes out and when it happens this way, the baby is protected from the vaginal bones and all the bruising. I just couldn't believe that I am just now learning this with my 9th baby. I just always did it the way the hospital told me and man I wish I would have known more earlier! But, now that I have learned so much more, I will never have anything other than a home/water birth!
